The Power of Perspective

In the modern economy, the loudest voice in the boardroom is no longer the CEO—it’s the customer. The shift from a product-driven sales model to a comprehensive marketing perspective has fundamentally rewritten the contract between companies and the people they serve. This transformation is most visible in the rise of real estate titans like Barbara Corcoran and Tracy Tutor, who have moved beyond mere transactions to master the art of the “human brand.” By centering the consumer’s aspirations at every stage of the lifecycle, these leaders prove that the secret to sustainable growth isn’t just selling a property but creating a psychological partnership. Adopting a marketing perspective means transitioning from being a vendor to becoming a solution. Whether it is Loida Velasquez providing high-value educational “scripts” to empower new agents or Veronica Figueroa scaling massive teams through radical transparency, the goal remains the same: prioritizing consumer satisfaction over simple sales volume.

I enjoy following Barbara Corcoran (@barbaracorcoran) She is the quintessential real estate mogul. She provides “no-nonsense” advice on entrepreneurship, market trends, and the psychology of selling. Her content is excellent for understanding the bigger picture of real estate as a business rather than just a series of transactions. I started following Tracy Tutor (@tracytutor) after her casting on Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, Tracy is a powerhouse in the ultra-luxury market. She is an expert in high-stakes negotiation and confidence. Her brand is built on the idea of being “unapologetic” in a male-dominated industry. She often shares tips on how to command a room and the importance of fitness and discipline in professional success. Loida Velasquez (@loidavelas) is a top-producing agent who built her massive following by showing the “grind” of real estate.  She specializes in lead generation, cold calling, and scripts. Her YouTube channel is a goldmine for newer agents who want to know exactly what to say to FSBOs and expired listings. In my real estate career it has always been important to follow top brokerages and their structure, Veronica Figueroa (@veronicafigueroateam) is a leader within eXp Realty and a renowned speaker on team building and scaling. She focuses heavily on the “growth mindset” and the operations side of real estate. Her content is perfect for agents who are ready to transition from being a solo practitioner to leading a massive, high-production team.

Influencers like Tracy Tutor and Barbara Corcoran use their social media as a 24/7 lifestyle brochure. Instead of just posting property photos, they employ a “Lifestyle Loop” strategy. They use luxury listings as a stage to showcase their personality, fashion, and authority. By selling the lifestyle associated with a zip code rather than just the square footage, they attract high-net-worth clients who are buying into a status, not just a structure.

Loida Velasquez and Veronica Figueroa utilize an education-first approach to build “Top of Mind” awareness. They offer high-value free content on YouTube and TikTok. This creates a “reciprocity” loop where followers feel they owe their success to the influencer’s advice. They transition from “Agents” to “Thought Leaders.” This allows them to monetize through coaching, speaking engagements, and referral networks that span the globe, effectively decoupling their income from the number of houses they personally show.

These top-tier real estate influencers don’t just “sell houses”; they employ sophisticated business and marketing strategies that leverage their personal brands as a scalable product.
